Gymnastics Travel Day with Megan Skaggs

Hello everyone! I got to see what it's like on a travel day for the Gator gymnastics team.

Megan Skaggs- Gymnastics 

Skaggs is a freshman on the gymnastics team. She has had a great rookie year and has been able to deliver for the team on all four events this season. Her and her team just finished up the SEC Championship in St. Louis and they will find out where they go next for regionals this week. 

Skaggs took me through a travel day with the team.

Thursday Travels

8:30 a.m. Wake up, make coffee and zip up her suitcase for the weekend.

9:30 a.m. Team breakfast.

10:00 a.m. Depart on the bus to the Tampa airport.

12:15 p.m. Check in for flight, go through security with the team and order a drink from Starbucks. 

*Skaggs always gets a coffee before flights! Today's order: Grande iced vanilla coffee with cream.

2:00 p.m. Board flight to St. Louis.

5:00 p.m. Arrive in St. Louis, pick up bags from baggage claim and get on the bus to the hotel.

6:30 p.m. Team Dinner at Carmine's Steakhouse.

8:00 p.m. Back to the hotel for treatments with Athletic Trainer and homework.

9:30 p.m. Watch Greatest Showman with roommate. 

11:00 p.m. Goes to bed and gets ready for Friday's podium training day.
